bio
I am a photographer based in North Carolina, where I can be found growing new roots
on an old turkey farm with my 2 spunky kids, industrious husband and a flock
of Red Dorking chickens. I feel at home in the South, but I also have a constant
longing to travel. Iceland, Oregon, Maine and Ocean City, NJ are always in my heart.
Years ago, I picked up the camera as a tool to explore and document culture.
These days, my work has a broader focus, but I remain committed to sharing stories
and connecting with the people with whom i work. As a photographer, I feel lucky
for the constant reminder that beauty can be found within any person, place,
or moment.
I owe this career I love to my experiences at the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies,
the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University
and The Independent Weekly in Durham, NC.
